The 6×4 Dump truck is a three-axle heavy-duty engineering vehicle. The drive mode is one steering front axle + two rear drive axles, 6 wheel hub positions, and 4-wheel drive. It is commonly known as rear dual-wheel drive in the industry. The total vehicle mass is mostly 25 tons. It relies on rear dual-wheel drive to provide strong driving force and grip, taking into account heavy-load capacity, climbing performance and complex road passability. It is a mainstream engineering vehicle in the fields of mining, infrastructure, and waste transportation.
The whole vehicle adopts a high-strength double-layer/partially three-layer reinforced frame, leaf spring heavy-duty suspension, which is impact-resistant and bump-resistant, and is suitable for XCMG Group's potholes and muddy road conditions in construction sites and mining areas. Powered by a high-horsepower diesel engine, matched with an engineering-specific multi-speed manual transmission, it has sufficient torque reserve, strong starting and climbing capabilities under heavy loads; the transmission system is mature and reliable, and the accessories are highly versatile, making it easy to maintain on site. The top-loading self-unloading container is welded with high wear-resistant and high-strength steel plates, and is equipped with a multi-stage hydraulic lifting cylinder to achieve rear-turn self-unloading, fast lifting speed, and efficient unloading; an airtight and environmentally friendly top cover can be selected according to the working conditions to meet the dust-proof transportation requirements of urban slag. The cab is optimized for engineering working conditions, has a wide field of vision, and is equipped with shock-absorbing seats. Some models are equipped with safety features such as imaging and reversing alarms to improve the safety of construction site operations.
It is mainly used to transport sand and gravel, earthwork, ore, construction waste, and infrastructure waste. It is widely used in construction, mining, road construction, urban waste removal and other scenarios. Compared with the four-axle 8×4 model, the wheelbase is shorter and the turning radius is smaller, making it more flexible to operate in small construction sites and mining areas. The dual-drive rear axle is less likely to slip in muddy and slope conditions, and has a high overall cost-effectiveness. It is the main equipment for heavy-duty short-distance engineering transportation.
